A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you open a page. It lets the page remember
something between one visit and the next. Similar technologies, such as pixels in an email and
small items stored by your browser, work in the same way and are covered here too.

1. What is used on this Site

Strictly necessary

These make the Site work. They keep a form filled in while you complete it, remember your
cookie choice and protect against abuse of the forms. They cannot be switched off, and they are
not used to identify you for any other purpose.

Preference

These remember a choice you made, such as your country or the last page you were reading, so
that you do not have to give it twice.

Measurement

These count visits and show which pages are opened and which are ignored. The reports are read
in totals, not one person at a time. They are set only if you allow them.

Marketing

These record that a visit came from a particular advertisement or link, so that the same
message is not shown to you again and again. They may be set by an advertising supplier. They are
set only if you allow them.

In emails

Letters sent from the Site contain a small image and tracked links, which show whether the
letter was opened and which links were used. This is how the letters are kept useful and how

2. How long they last

Some are deleted when you close the browser. Others remain for a set period, which is never
longer than thirteen months for anything that is not strictly necessary. After that the choice is
asked again.

3. Your choice

When you first open the Site you are asked what you allow. Only the strictly necessary cookies
are set before you answer. You may change the answer at any time by clearing the cookies for this
Site in your browser and opening the Site again.

Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies for any site. The setting is normally under
privacy or security in the browser menu. If you block everything, parts of the Site may stop
working, including the forms.

4. Other people’s cookies

The payment provider and any embedded content may set their own cookies when you use them.
Those are governed by that supplier’s own policy, which is outside our control.

5. Changes

This policy may be updated when the tools used on the Site change. The date at the top shows
when it last changed.
